This Monday, January 27, 2021, at the annual Via Bolsa conference, the company that owns the Lisbon stock exchange held the Euronext Lisbon Awards 2021 ceremony and discussed the present and the future of the capital markets, with a special focus on sustainable finance.
A special highlight should be given to TAP's victory as Issuer of the Year, an award that aims to acknowledge the issuer that carried out the most significant and high-profile transaction in the Portuguese capital markets during 2019. TAP's first public bond offer in the Portuguese capital markets in June 2019, in which Haitong Bank acted as Arranger and Sole Global Coordinator, was the deal that led to TAP receiving this award. This transaction was also the largest public bond offer from a corporate issuer in the Portuguese capital markets since 2012, with a total volume of €200,000,000.
This year's awards for the work carried out in 2019 included two nominations for Haitong Bank in the Growing Structured Finance and Book Runner Bonds categories.
