In accordance with the strategic and operational alignment of Haitong Group, the Equities activities outside Mainland China are carried out by Haitong International Securities.
In 2019, Haitong Bank and Haitong International Securities entered into a strategic agreement to facilitate the provision of equity trading, sales and research services to their respective clients (excluding the UK). This collaboration aims to deepen distribution capacity, increase the Group's scope and to create a Group wide solution to service European investors in a post-Brexit scenario.
Within the context of this partnership, Haitong Bank maintains its Iberian order execution and sales teams servicing European investors and its own equity research team in Poland, whilst enjoying access to companies covered by Haitong International Securities equity research.
Haitong Bank now provides access to execution across Asian markets namely Shanghai and Hong Kong Stock exchanges through the memberships of Haitong Securities and Haitong International Securities, respectively.
