The “Business Leaders” ranking presents the profiles of the most valued Polish entrepreneurs, operating in both traditional sectors and in innovative industries. The ranking was created by Forbes’ Editorial Team along with 14 well-regarded Polish investment bankers and business advisors. This year, Ryszard Hermanowski joined the jury compiling the ranking that supported Forbes Poland in creating the list of candidates and selecting those who stood out the most.
The 2019 ranking is led by Mariusz Gralewski, CEO of DocPlanner, an online platform for booking doctors’ appointments. In the last round of financing, DocPlanner was valued at PLN 2 billion and is unofficially considered to be the first Polish unicorn candidate (value of USD 1 billion).
The second place in the ranking was taken by Tomasz Biernacki, the majority shareholder of Dino retail, a company that develops small format shops and which is now worth more than PLN 13 billion. Third place belongs to Krzysztof Weka, CEO of Nałęczów Zdrój, which owns the Cisowianka brand. The company successfully competes with Danone, achieving in 2018 PLN 455 million of revenues.
